Headtrash

How many of you can recall a tough decision or conversation that you have had, and upon reflection, you think that it would have been better to wait longer before having the conversation or make the decision.  I’m guessing that most would agree that our apprehension was self-inflicted and the reality wasn’t as bad we perceived.  A 2003 Fortune Magazine revealed that these type of delays are one of the top reasons CEOs fail… 

These misperceptions can be referred to as our personal Headtrash because it is stuck in your head and most likely doesn’t reflect reality.  Doug Cartland has a great audio blog explaining the pitfalls of Headtrash and his encouragement to avoid it.
